About Rubicon Resources
- In January 2007, Rubicon Resources Limited (Rubicon) raised $10,000,000 through a successful IPO to fund exploration programs on its Projects.
- Rubicon is a focused exploration company with a large and diverse tenement portfolio, predominantly located in Western Australia. The majority of these tenements are strategically located in highly productive mineralised belts.
- Rubicon is exploring for gold, copper and zinc; commodities that are at or near record price levels, fuelled by continued growth in developing countries, low metal stockpiles and restrictions on increased supply.
Projects
A portfolio covering some 10,000 square kilometres of tenements prospective for gold, copper-gold and/or copper-lead-zinc deposits, including:
- The 1,470km² Yindarlgooda Project (granted tenements and applications), centred 50 kilometres east of Kalgoorlie, with gold and volcanic massive sulphide (VMS) base metal potential and known gold mineralisation present.
- The 1,410km² Desdemona Project (granted tenements and applications), located along the productive Keith Kilkenny Fault Zone southeast of Leonora, prospective for gold and VMS base metals.
- The 2,900km² Warburton Project (all applications), located in the Western Musgrave Province, with known copper mineralisation and strong potential for Iron Oxide Copper Gold (IOCG) and copper-nickel deposits.
- The entire Bencubbin greenstone belt (granted tenements and applications) located north of Merredin in Western Australia, where gold mineralisation has been defined by limited previous exploration. This project is in part subject to an option agreement to be assigned to the Company.
- The 1,620km² Canobie Project (all applications) in the northern part of the Mt Isa Inlier in Queensland with prospectivity for IOCG and Mt Isa-style base metal deposits.
- Additional projects in Western Australia at Erlistoun (gold prospectivity to the north of Laverton), Boddington South (conceptual gold targets located southeast of Perth) and five discrete IOCG targets in northern Western Australia.
